During the first quarter of 2022, the top 5 film and television apps in Kuwait demonstrated varied performance across downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at how each app fared, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Netflix saw fluctuations in its weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $9.1K in the last week of February. Weekly downloads experienced a decline from 4.9K in the week of January 24 to around 2.4K by the end of March. Active users decreased from 251.9K at the start of January to 210K by the end of the quarter.

ﺷﺎﻫﺪ - Shahid experienced a significant rise in weekly revenue, reaching about $84.3K in the week of March 21. Downloads surged from 3.4K in mid-March to 14.1K by the end of the month. Active users increased notably from 30.9K at the start of the quarter to 43.3K at its close.

MX Player maintained a stable revenue, with minor fluctuations around $7. Weekly downloads showed a positive trend, growing from 2.1K at the start of January to 3.4K by the end of March. Active users remained relatively steady, fluctuating between 78.5K and 71.4K throughout the quarter.

OSN+ experienced a peak in weekly revenue at $16K in the last week of February. Downloads varied, peaking at 3.5K in the final week of March. Active users saw a decline from 17.2K in late January to 13.4K in late March, before a significant rise to 20K in the last week of the quarter.
